The Federation’s Working Party on Thermodynamic and Transport Properties nominated for his outstanding contributions to the generation, application and dissemination of knowledge and the technical advancement of the field through industrial co-operation. Download pressrelease
as one of the co-organizers I would like to draw your attention to the 13th International Meeting of Thermodiffusion that will take place between 11-14th of September 2018 at Imperial College London, UK. The meeting is aimed at discussing frontier problems on transport phenomena covering a range of topics:
For the third time, the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) is pleased to announce call for nominations for its prestigious, biennial Distinguished Lecture in Thermodynamics and Transport Properties (TTP) to recognize an outstanding research career and achievements within the field.
A nominated candidate should have made significant contribution and/or achievements for the advancement of science and technology within Thermodynamics and Transport Properties (TTP) and has to be active in a European institution.
Excellence award goes to non-equilibrium thermodynamics investigation of transport properties
Prof. Øivind Wilhelmsen was granted the 2017 Excellence Award by the Working Party on Thermodynamics and Transport Properties in recognition of his thesis research on the heat and mass transport at the interface of nano-droplets. Read more

Please be aware of the upcoming World Chemical Engineering Congress that will take place in Barcelona on 1-5 october 2017. Deadline for abstract submission is February 28th.
The Industrial Use of Thermodynamics (IUT) symposium will be opportunity to create a forum for exchange between the EFCE Working Parties on Thermodynamics and Transport Properties and on Fluid Separation Processes.
- Keynote-Tutorials are planned on the Selection of reliable Data and Adequate Models for Sustainable Process and Product Desing
- A round-table discussion on Data Quality and Assessment, Validation methods and Error Propagation through the Simulation Software. This will be a unique opportunity to share on the challenges related to the design of complex separation processes.
Your input will be highly appreciated, either submitting an abstract or simply by attending the sessions.

The European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the fifth EFCE Excellence Award in Thermodynamics and Transport Properties.
The third Distinguished Lecture of the European Working Party on Thermodynamics and Transport Properties will be delivered by Professor Cornelis Peters during the 14th International Conference on Properties and Phase Equilibria for Product and Process Design (PPEPPD 2016), which will be held in Porto, Portugal from 22 to 26 May 2016.
He was elected unanimously by the selection Committee who thereby recognizes his 40 years research contributions to the fundamental understanding of phase theory.
